stay y7 since its low compressiong, boost it, it'll make 200 easy on tune
d16y8 is only like...... i think 100 to the wheels?

I'll tell you straight up. My buddy has a y7 w/ a z6 head thats got crower springs/retainer. Has 4-2-1 header, exhaust, intake, 7lb flywheel CC stage 2 obx 10mm wires with a tune from scotty at mainstream and still only put down 135 to the wheels. If you want 200 you gotta boost.

IMO.....Go with the y8 head and IM. get I/H/E. Maybe flywheel if you want all motor no boost, NGK wires and plugs small shot NO2 and Get a tune All motor on a budget.

If you got MULA $$$$$ Start talkin forged internal and shit!

stay y7, y8 intake manifold, gt25r gt28r or super60, 200 easy.

id go y8 then boost.

yep, the y7 block is the same as a y8, i know y8 internals will fit in it perfectly. there is a y8 head and vtec solnoid on here for like $50 so there is a start. then you boost but not too much unless you wanna build the motor every 30k miles. i built a motor a few years ago and we used a y7 block, y8 crank, pistons, rods etc and bolted a y8 dead on it no problem. there are plenty of write ups and most of us can give good advice too. the head plus a p2p ecu and a couple of wires ran and presto you have a good start bro. then add boost and convert to obd-1 and have it chipped and tuned.:goodjob:
