AMG died the day you could buy them from a dealer. True AMG's you used to have to have done yourself. They are badass for sure, but they don't do much for me. Gimmie the 80s again when having a true AMG set you apart.

I can sort of understand...because of the apocalyptic amounts of power the engines put out, especially in the V-12 models.

I guess there's no market for them. It'd be too expensive to develop a manual transmission, and they wouldn't sell nearly enough.

I was in Monterey, CA when they had the Laguna Seca SLS drive. I must have seen 10 of them driving around the area I was staying in. Pretty cool car! Did you see Jay Leno's video of the SLS? It was pretty informative.
