Would a d16y8 head gasket kit fit on a d15b2?

Thank you.

It will fit. The bore size is the same as well as the bolt hole pattern. The D15 came with a composite gasket though. It will work fine.

Yeah itll work, the only difference between d15 and d16 is the rod lengths and deck heights.

Yep! Done it before in a mini-me setup. QWK D16 has quite a bit of D series experience as well.

Great! Thanks guys. I've done many swaps but never a head gasket. Anyone have a guide telling me how to?

I found a MINT 1991 Civic Sedan for $300 with a blown head gasket, I have a FULL brand new d16y8 head gasket kit sitting in my closet collecting dust. So I needed to know if it'll fit.

I know a y8 head will fit on a b7 block without any problems. My question is will a D16Y8 HEAD GASKET fit on a d15b7, stock head, stock block.

i thought that the coolant passages on y8 and b7 are different...but i guess if ppl already done it before than it works

They do work, that is for sure.

Actually, that gasket may be preferred in some instances.:ninja:
