I hate it. Used to be able to relax on Sat afternon during the race.

Exactly.

If this was 2002, back when AMA superbikes meant something, i'd drive to Florida on a friday night to be there Sat morning but now, you are basically forced to watch the race on TV if you live outside Florida.

I really really hate this Daytona Sportbike thing.

I'll buy the cheapest possible ticket just to say i saw the 200 but, as far as I'm concerned, this race means nothing anymore on the world level.
Really a sad situation when compared to the 70's, 80's, 90s and early 00's.

I've sent my bike down with friends, then flown down on Friday morning several times.

I'll be missing the race but I'm gonna head to Daytona on saturday afternoon after I get up. Its a bit closer for me now.

I'll be at the NASCAR race at AMS all weekend, but I'm flying down with some friends for Ricky Carmichael University on Monday Am. It's a motorcross school on the track after sunday's Amature race.

I'm pretty pumped about it...wish I could be there for the big race, but I gotta work.

Just got home. Was in River Ranch for the GNCC, then swung by Bike Week before coming up.
