As of right now, the Dragon is closed because of several rock-slides. It should be back up no later than April, but some have said it could take a few months. I can't imagine it would though, as it brings a lot of revenue for TN and NC. But for driver safety, they have it closed for awhile until they can clear the roads.

I was giving you guys a heads up...the Dragon is not expected to even open until July 31st as of right now, due to rock slides.

Not joking:

but the July 31st date is not set in stone.

lol j/k.. I said the same thing when I saw the dates. I wanted to take the bike up there but the rockslides = no.

That rock slide date has changed about each day. With the fact of the rock slides, this trip is tentative though I'll probably still go and travel area roads instead. Hwy 28 is still fun not to mention the Cherohala Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway and other local roads.

I'm going wait a couple of weeks before making any decisions...
