Well i got this car as a shell and decided to make it look some what decent. The pictures arnt perfect and some people may say im cutting corners but im 19 and im short on money in time im full time colledge student and full time working. but this is what ive been doing on the side. let me know what you guys think what i should do next and opinions good or bad.;)

Started off as painted white horrible prep work i went to pressure wash the car because it has been sitting behind a shop for over 2 yrs.. and as i was doing so all the white paint just chipped off so i decided to paint the car.

This is the first day i went to look at the car and took pics.

This is the garage we used started to setup used shower curtains the cheapest thing i could find at walmart for the sqft. 2.20 a curtain and i got 32 used thumb tacks to hold it on the celing and used clothes pins and tape to make a homemade paint booth.

no my buddy brandon did this for me. he paints helicompters. i built him a motor and am giving him help and engine parts and he returned the favor as a friend to paont my car. Dom is just kindly letting me use his garage and he got his engine bay cleared int he process.

looks good so far your getting dirt because you dont have the shower curtains overlapping each other so when the wind blows dirt and dust fly right into the car. one question i have is why didnt you tape off the brake booster and abs lines you just painted right over them? other than that im curious to see how the car comes out looks good so far

xdavidscenex
02-28-2010, 09:57 AM
Well there isn't really any wind it's in a closed garage but I do get some wind from the air compressor. The brake lines and booster reson I didn't take em out or tape them off I didn't really care if they got painted and isn't hve the time to do the engine bay the way I wanted so as long as it matched the car I didn't care that's what I told the painter

- thanks everyone for the compliments!! any suggestions on getting dust/dirt elimination out of clear please coment! hahadid you wet the floor before spraying? if not, do that and all of the dust will go to the water and stay there. if your only getting small speck's of dust and its on the top then just wet sand with 1000 grit and buff it out.
