Am i able to put on a B20 head on there? if so, is there any increase in numbers? i know that you can't bolt a b20 head to a ls, but i just read that someone had put a b20 on their ls. so just making sure. also, what is some parts that i can get for my ls that will increase my numbers. Any cheap rods that i can get and they are stilll good? sorry for the noob questions.

i heard that the p8r head is better. but i have no idea. but what im wondering is, is there any number change if i do change the heads.

No point. Even if you were to get some increase in power, it wouldn't be worth the hassle. Think about it. You'd prob have to get the head resurfaced, new head gasket, new head studs, etc. In the end, would it really be worth 2-3 hp more?

P8R head is a JDM b20 Non-Vtec head. All the b20 in the US uses the p75, and the majority of the JDM ones also uses the p75, which makes the p8r more rare. It is the only b20 head with a 84mm chamber and 33mm intake valves (like the vtec valves). It was thought to be from the Honda Orthia in 1997, some have also said that they have a 1999 head also, which should be in 2000 cars.

The p8r code is cast into the head where the p75 should be. I was wondering if i can use it but the head is 84mm, and my block is 81 (if you have a LS).

why spend the money for no vtec when you can slap a gsr or b16 and get a good 20 hp? or more b20 an ls heads are basically the exact same thing you wondt gain anything on it so find something else or find another motor

Exactly. Only thing worth buying from a b20 is the block.

build the ls dont matter the head, stay non vtec, there cheap fun and simple, quick cheap build is gsr crank and rods with ls pistons block guard arp hardware and turbo with crower valve train if high horsepower is wanted if not and want to stay na keep crank and rods just get p30 or pct or p73 depending on what compression ratio ur looking for and crower valve train should reach 170+ na and possible 290+ turbo depending on psi gl man

from my experiences id say the p8r head is worth it...gota friend wita teg/b20p8r/ls tranny that can beat an eg hatch/b20 regular head/b16 tranny...if i was you i would jus buy an b20z get best of both

well, i got people telling me that the b20 is just a slightly different from a ls. but i heard that the b20 head have better air flow than the ls head. if i'm fixing to do a swap, i'm better off jus saving an extra hundra or so doing a GSR swap. :D

build your ls like i did and beat tha fu*k out of the VTEC motors.. I beat them everyday.. Stage 3 Crower Cams, Valve Springs And Retainers, Skunk 2 cam gears, arp head studs, and some ctr pistons.. And by the way, My ls is in a full interior 95 integra..

but wid all that work and money, i can go Ls/Vtec already. and if i was suppose to add stage 3 crower cams, valve springs and retainers, skunk 2 cam gears, arp head studs, and pistons, It'll be a beast lol.

throw some cams into the ls head with boltons and your set...tuned and call it a day...thats my plan but seems like all my extra cash is going to my 1 yr old son...idk lol

agreed i have three kids my self lol, but like isaid i have a ls vtec and ls, its way cheaper on ls
