$1000 car.THAT RUNS!!!

I picked up monday my 97 Mitsubishi Mirage DE 1.5 5-spd
It wasn't in the greatest condition.It was very dirty and still has a radiator and exhaust leak.But other than that runs good.Been in a accident or two.Clear title.Since i've had it I've Put in a Alpine 9886 CD/MP3/AAC/WMA player,A set of Alpine Type-R Component spealers,And 8000K Hid's.I got it for a grand and it made it back from covington with no water...hahaha it all leaked out.but didn't overheat :/???idk whats up with that.but oh well.oh and i have pinstriped it took the interior apart and cleaned it 99%(just one seat left)But pplease don't come in here bashing on it...I like it.And it's not yours so keep your negative comments to yourself.Thanks :)

yea...i figured out it was the radiator...it's bent and is squirting out of the fin behind the fan...but i can get a rad for $75 at the junkyard or on ebay for 83$ shipped with lifetime warranty

Good find; I got my 88 EF for right at a grand.

the subframe is bent under the radiator too...:( so thats why its bent...lol imma come-along it and try to straighten it out

$1000 bucks is a fine investment for a running car! The cheapest deal ive ever gotten was a 1988 hyundai excel with 130,000 miles for $250.00. Wish i would have kept it....great daily

it wasn't clean when i bought it lol...i spent all day scrubbing the carpet...and i did a simple wash of the outside.

1.5l on boost equals a lot of fun and if you blow it...a new motor is only a couple hundred haha. Seriously, BOOST IT.

i would but i need a job...lol i bought it to get back and forth til i get stable again...then when the time comes i'll buy another motor rebuild it put it in rebulid this motor boost it then put it in so i'll have 2 motors...hahaha

yes im on the mirage forums...lol and idk how it runs...smartass...:P it rolls good...lol idles and accelerates fine small skip because of 6 month old gas

Nice. Cant let a running car pass up for a grand. Now throw some wheels on it and sell it to someone and make some cash on it, or keep it for a nice daily.

i had all the audio stuff already from a previous time...when times were good...:( and the HID's are more for function than show...the headlights on mirages suck...and the pinstripes i did myself.They were like $3 :P i figured it couldn't do nothing but help...I'll end up removing them after a while

AND what better car could i get for $1000 with clear title very little dents that runs good???just a question.
