Sharing with you a post from Sharif from Nagtroc.

This past weekend weekend, Forged Performance took home two first place finishes in NASA Time Trials at Virginia International Raceway, but also had the unique opportunity to race against a Ferrari F430 GT that is being prepped to compete in the 24hr next year. I've never had so much fun chasing a car around a track.

Too bad I only had 3 laps worth of fuel on board....I ran out.

Stock turbos
About 525whp (Dyno Dynamics)
JRZ Triples
Hoosier A6's (295/315)
Aeromotions R2.Two Active Wing

The Nissan GTR was Piloted by Sharif Abdelbaset.

i bet that was a great feeling sticking with that car the whole time.

Nice vid man. I watched a few time attack runs at VIR when I was working for a Koni Challenge team last year. Wish I could go for a drive on the track.

it was quick in the twisties...were you catching him on the straights?

I was carrying 900lbs more weight than the Ferrari, so I wasn't expecting to catch him. Just pleased I hung on his bumper for a while, particularly under braking and corner entry. An F430 GT racecar is pretty insane and you can see it came off the corners really well, and managed to barely pull away after about 140mph.

i love how the 430 gets almost silent as it goes faster...

i hope to see you post more! you post some good stuff! i never knew all these motorsport events go on in ga..
