Ok I bought j-rocks civic from him and have spent almost 200 on parts to make it a safe dd. I bought a cv axleand then my timing belt broke and I got it fixed and it drove fine for 2 days but now its like I have to push the gas pedal all the way to the floor before it starts to rev up. I think the throttle cable is stretched but I don't know. I need some help with this problem before i go spending more money then I really need to. I have to push the pedal all the way to the floor before it starts to rev up.

So what could it be?

adjust throttle cable @ throttle body ....i believe 2 13mm wrenches will do the trick

12mm, but it might also be a tps problem. I'd check what it looks like with the intake off with someone else giving it WOT in the car and see how far it opens up. If so that might be your problem.

Yea checked where the cable was hooked to the throttle body and tightened it down and it fixed my problem. So glad I dont have to spend more money on this thing........"Knocks on woodgrain!"

when you mash the pedal down , slowly does it rev but takes for ever or it only revs until it is to the floor????

either jump timing or bad head (bent valves)

For all the people answering what you think his problems are, he already fixed it, which is fortunate.
