I work at a tire shop and if you asked me that question and gave me that budget, I'd point you in the direction of the nearest used tire joint. $300 will not buy good quality tires unless they happen to be marked down or there's an outrageous promotion/sale.

I remember back a few years ago I got a set of Falken Ziex 912s for $136 shipped from Tire Rack...

well, it's one of the cheapest brand. its $320 for a full set, balance and everything. One of my buddy that works at a mechanic shop told me that there's' no point of getting those high brand name tires when your car is not even strong enough to do burnout and stuff. There's no point of getting a good brand name tire. But i decided to just get two use tire for the back. Got me some dunloops for $75 with still very good thread. =)

lol dont cheap out on tires. i dont care if you drive an 80 hp lawnmower. tires keep your car on the road, and you safe.

safety is worth paying for.

strong enough for burn outs? u do understand that tires do have a direct relation to ride quality, braking, acceleration and vehicle stability..not just burn outs...
