So my laptop is pissing me off! Lol
Everytime I pull anything up some security tool warning keeps coming up and telling me theres viruses and they need my credit card information to continue. I know its just a scam but everytime i try to restore my computer it bots me off and says that virus warning. Anybody know any way around this without having to get a new hardrive?

download malwarebytes http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/malwarebytes/mbam-setup.exe

install it/ (and update it if possible)....

the newest update even kills that PC live guard bullshit thats out right now.

i had the same problem just recently. It go to a point i couldn't launch any programs at all. I straightened it out going forward reloading windows and getting up to date on internet security software. Try above, if that doesn't work reload windows and make sure to run some type of protection. If your just like me you just want it to work 99% of the time. I use a ghost image when i can't solve issues and just reload my image and i'm back up and running in 30 mins tops, minty fresh. Problem solved....

well i usually, build my pc from the ground up and so i have to get a copy of windows. If you bought your pc, it should of come with a recovery windows cd. Should be able to install it. Just keep in mind it wipes out all data, which isn't a prob for me since i triple archive everything.

x2. Try Spybot Search & Destroy as well...it takes care of a lot.

put malware bytes onto a thumb drive...

while the computer is booting up keep pressing F8, go into safe mode.... run malware bytes....

reboot, that should solve it.
