hey guys,
wife is wanting to learn more about photography. what are some good sites that she can go to learn not only about cameras such as shutter speed, aperture, etc (not just what they mean but when to use what options) but also about composition, lighting, etc? tia.

What options to use comes with practice.

As for understanding the technical aspects... there are a lot of sites that cover the basics, but I would start with wikipedia. Once you understand what the terms mean then it will be easier to figure out or remember how they affect taking photos.
