The shortening of the track has been talks for years. But then again for us grass roots racers, we don't have to worry about anything.

yeah but they were perfectly fine before they shortened it, its just one really bad accident happened. now they have a system that will automatically deploy the chute and cut ignition if the driver has not done so after the finish line.
