Having read the other thread about first time gun owners, and getting ready to be one myself. I couldn't agree more on training. These guys are on the southside and I've talked to them already and planning on going to them for training.

If you want to learn to shoot, wait a few weeks until it warms up. I have a membership to a local range on this side of town and am an experienced competitive shooter (tactical and long range rifles). Bring ammo and I'll let you test a handfull of guns, while teaching you the right way to shoot and draw.
