yea mostly likely that would be it. the p28 comes off a SOHC unless its the 1 that came off a del sol. your swap is obd1 i assume right? if you have a friend that has a obd1 p72, try it on your car and see how if it helps.
is the gsr stock?

a p28 will run a gsr without causing that problem..he has other issues. check your tps

We can hook up the datalogger to your ecu and make sure its reading the tps signal. Or you can just test the tps input voltage to the ecu to make sure its working. We can also load the correct map on your chip for you if you are interested in getting that done.

im interested but i cant drive it to you bc everytime the throttle is hit it boggs down and shut off i can pay someone some money if they can get it running or i have a whole punch of parts i can give away

unplug the throttle position sensor plug and see how it drives.

if you unplugged tps and it ran better then tps/map is probably wired backward.
