My E30 has 400,000+ on it, original motor, just did a compression check and it was perfect on all 6 cylinders.

No it's actually INSANELY abused lol. Previous owner drifted the hell out of it and I don't treat it nice either, I do regular maintenance but other then that it's being redlined on the track.

My '88 model 528e was at 924,000 when I got it, and just after it hit 968,000 the odometer locked up and didn't clock miles anymore. Went like that for two years before I sold it, I know it had well over a million.

i saw it about a year ago when it was on best of craigslist. the guy that was selling it was the original owner and drove it for business from cali to north carolina twice a month. he said it was the original motor and the clutch had been changed like 9 times.

good job on his part for taking care of the car.

Nah it's not the cars it's the little kids that rag out the fast lil tuner cars that dont acknowledge well if I drive it like sh!t and rag it out it will fall apart soon enough. You take care of them they work great.
