HID DEFECTIVE BULB QUESTION

Hey IA!

I don't know what the problem is, but Im wondering if anyone knows this or experienced the same problem or similar

I have a 1995 subaru legacy with JDM projector headlights... I have always had HID's on this vehicle

from 12k-30; never had any electrical issues.... well, over 3 years, my 30000k bulb blew and I went on a local place and bought an HID kit..... 13000k ... well, since the installation of ballasts and bulbs, after 3k(rpm) on my car, with the LIGHTS on, my highbeams will start flickering and static through the radio.... Also, the car will jump RPM's

So then i thought, maybe the CRAPPY ballasts were defective, so i reinstalled my old ones, and same problem.... :(

when the HID's are off, no problems
and with the EXPENSIVE 30000k bulbs, never had problems


do defective bulbs cause this... my passenger takes a couple of clicks to fire up and its a slight off color than the driver

if you tried both ballasts then i would say its the bulbs.

thats what i figured! but with my luck, it took something else out lol

re-base kits usually use cheap hailides and burn out quickly..... start with the capsules.

I don't know what it is.. go figure, the guys who i bought them from, answer but never come and replace them..BIG SURPRISE! ... The actual bulbs work, but they look like they have a cloud in them... look used.. only when i turn them on, and about 2-4k RPM, highbeams flicker on and static through my radio..... NOT THE BALLASTS... possibly another short... all of a sudden bullcrap! ahhhhhhhhhhhh
