I have a 09 DRZ400s and I'm doing the 3"x3" box mod, K&N filter and a aftermarket off road exhaust. I think it needs the stage 2 dyno jet kit but the only stage 2 kits say for the 00-10 drz400sm. I can find the stage 1 kit but the stage 2 says its for the modded box filter and exhaust.

Do you think the stage 2 kit would work on the drz400s even know its for the drz400sm? The stage 2 kit comes with the stage 1 kit and there the same for both bikes.

If you want to instead of buying the kit, find out what size the stage one jet is and ill drill your stock one out for you. I drill my own. If stage 1 jet size is too small then we can go up to a stage 2 size. Free is a lot better than the kit. For my 4cyl it was gonna be like $150 so i just ordered the bits and drilled mine myself. The difference in size between a manufactured jet and a dilled one is so small it really doesnt matter whether you drill one of buy one.

Not sure right now. I still have to wait on some parts to show up.

I'm debating just taking it to a shop and letting them rejet it for me. They want $90 to do it and I still have to buy the jet kit for $60.

Ill drill the jets for free lol, but if you wanna spend the cash go for it.

let mushroom_toy drill them out.......or

get the FMF power-up kit...it's a stage 1 kit that comes with 3-4 different main jets for the different exhausts, new pilot jet and needle. move the clip to the middle of the needle (down one) and you'll be cherry....assuming you are going with a decent pipe.

if you are uncomfortable doing it yourself bring it down to suzuki of atlanta and we'll knock it out....but we don't work for free.
