Ok, so I saw on the news of friend of mine from the gym. Watch the video and read what happened. Can't believe he is that type of person. He was always such a nice and sweet guy. People are crazy these days! I was wondering how come I haven't seen him in awhile. I guess I know why now.
http://www.wsbtv.com/video/22501513/

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. -- A Whistleblower 2 Investigation took a closer look at a former Coweta County Sheriff's Deputy at the center of a controversial incident caught on tape.Clint Reynolds currently is facing two felony charges that include aggravated assault on his wife.Still, that case doesn't tell the whole story of a deputy whose superiors knew his quick temper was close to the surface. We were first introduced to Reynolds eight years ago when he and his department were the target of a lawsuit arising from a tasering incident. Reynolds won that one, but his temperament and his responses to stress were well documented in his personnel file. The controversial arrest caught on tape happened in July 2009.Sgt. Reynolds pulled over 19-year-old Matt Jones for following too closely. The video shows Reynolds pulling Jones to the ground and kicking him several times.http://www.wsbtv.com/sh/images/ibs_icon/cox/video.gifRAW VIDEO: Angry Cop Caught On Camera (http://www.wsbtv.com/video/22501513/index.html)Reynolds said he took action because Jones put his hands in his pockets and wouldn't show them to him. There is no clear jail book-in photo of Jones, but Channel 2 Action News did get a photocopy of one. It appears to show Jones' face swollen from the deputy's knee jabs. Still, the Coweta County Solicitor thought so little of the case he refused to prosecute. Coweta County Sheriff Mike Yeager said there was no need for an internal investigation."I think that there was a discussion with the officer about what could have and should have, maybe, been done on the traffic stop," said Yeager. "And again, both sides looked at it and said there were some things that both sides could have done, some things differently." Deputy Reynolds' personnel file contains repeated hints about his behavior. In 1999, a supervisor describes his, "low tolerance for stress" and calls him, "a little high strung".Another entry from 2000 states, "this employee can improve in his public relations skills".In 2001, a report claims he gets stressed "about what seems to be the small things".Another report in 2008 says "Clint needs to....avoid unnecessary confrontations".Still, the file also contains good reports, and in 2007 Reynolds got promoted to sergeant. The incident that first brought Reynolds to the attention of Channel 2 Action News was not included in his file.In 2002, truck driver Stacey Draper was on Interstate-85 when Reynolds pulled him over.Reynolds claimed Draper cursed him. If he did, it does not show up on police dash cam video. What does appear on the video is Reynolds asking Draper to get him some information. Then Reynolds tasers Draper and tells him to stay on the ground. There was no internal investigation, and like the Matt Jones case, the solicitor refused to prosecute. Draper sued the county and lost. Coweta County does not require psychological screenings before deputies are hired. There is nothing in Reynolds' personnel file to suggest that his superiors considered ordering such tests. Sheriff Yeager believes Reynolds may have acted on his own."I think that at one time or whatever this officer had maybe on his own taken some counseling," said Yeager. Deputy Reynolds resigned in December after the arrest for the assault on his wife.Sheriff Yeager says the department would've considered taking action if Reynolds hadn't stepped down. The district attorney's office still is investigating the case.

Well to be honest if you guys watch the video the guy does reach down for his pockets. The cop has every right to protect himself. He has no clue what anyone has in there pockets. Then he tells the guy he is going to take his hands off of him and to keep his hands on the truck and the guy doesnt. I am not defending this action but I have alot of friends in law enforcement and I want them to make it home to there family's everynight just like you do working a 9-5. Their will always be a few bad apples in every business including law enforcement.

I don't see how. He shoves his hands in his pockets not once, but twice. They don't know what he has. And then when the one deputy went to handcuff him, you can see he starts to resist and break away. The only thing I see that could be wrong was the knee to the face. Nope not saying that at all. if you watch the video, it has been cut and edited for TV. Officers have the right to get you out of the car on the side of a busy highway for there safety and yours. The kid didnt want to do what they asked him to do. They asked did he have anything on him, he stated NO. Then he reachs for his pockets. They move him against the car and then they say they are going to release him if he relaxes and keeps his hands on the vehicle. They release him and he takes his hands off the vehicle. The guy deserves to be smacked around for not listening. What part of that is bad? Yes I will admit the Knee was uncalled for. But other then that, it looks like a routine traffic stop where an asshole kid thought he was smarter then the officers and thought he could do anything he wants b/c he pays taxes.

The guy with the extra large ego and temper shouldn't be in a position like that. Slamming him into the back of the car then taking him to the ground and beating him is completely un-called for. I have seen something similar to this happen where I live...right outside a bar. Dude wasn't drunk either...it started with something to do with the guys car...the guy asked questions...the cops got irritated and started getting in his face yelling....guy keeps questioning why why why and they taze him....then proceed to knee and punch him.

maw son, i get my hatred from experience....

Just knowing how police officers operate and how traffic stops are supposed to go in my experience it seems that their wasnt anything wrong with this stop except for what Channel 2 or whatever wanted you to see. Their technically was nothing wrong with the stop except for the Knees to the face. Thats it. Unfortunately if the kid would have done what he was supposed to, to begin with. It shouldnt have ever gotten to the point it did. And the kid, I hope learned a lesson.

I am unfairly treated by police officers everytime I drive my car. I get pulled over atleast once a month for my window tint b/c its 5%. But I am always very nice and I never get a ticket for it. I always roll the windows down so they can see in the car. And I keep my hands on the steering wheel unless they ask me for any other information. Its all about playing the game when you get stopped. If you cooperate, there is never any issues. It's people that want to put up a fight are the ones that get there asses kicked.
