Loud jet noise in Kennesaw tonight

Anyone in kennesaw keep hearing a plane take off but it doesn't seem to go anywhere?

Shit is nuts... loud as hell... Is Dobins AFB testing something?

Could be some other of their aircraft aswell. Lawrenceville had a plane crash today some of the jet traffic over there might be diverting to other airports near that area. Large amounts of jet traffic causes alot of holding patterns. I was coming back from a flight and heard the news of lzu's crash. Fucked up alot of traffic arround the atl area. They set up tfr's ( temporary flight restriction ) over LZU.

Lockheed doesn't perform secret testing out in the open at the Marietta facility. It is possible they're performing run tests on a recently completed 22 outdoors. Although they usually perform this task in the "burn barn."

Wrong, F-22 is escorted by f-16's (another lockheed product).


Top secret stuff at Lockheed. ... u wouldn't have seen it I dont have the clearance anymore, but I see secret and top secret shit there all the time.


Also, the only thing being actively produced in Marietta that requires any clearance is the f-22. All of the other cool shit is done out at Skunk Works or down at the naval base at Kings Bay.

I really would trade my left nut to see some of the cool shit they are playing with out there in Palmdale.

Me and the 10 other people standing around were like wtf is it painted for and why is it missing a fin... The plane escorting it wasnt missing the fin. Maybe your right... I was in aviation and worked on F-18's at Dobbins. Now I work at Lockheed. I've seen the 16's on the flight line on a couple occasions. They were there waiting on F-22's to escort to their new home.


I never understood the point of the escort though. Any weapons have the ability to lock onto the F-22 have the ability to distinguish between aircraft.
