This is a 100% serious thread and I don't want bullshit involved. I am highly interested in getting into rally racing but have no clue where to start, The info isn't really out there like it is for other types of racing. This would be a "home grown" kind of deal not going out and putting a bunch of money into a car or anything. Something like what Simon does, Races on the weekend and things of that nature. Thanks for any help guys. :goodjob:

Which type of rally? Like dirt runs or rally from checkpoint to checkpoint? Later, QD.

Stage rally. Good old fashioned dirt and terrain.

So you want checkpoint to checkpoint over dirt, yes? Later, QD.

Correct, Something like the Gumball 3000 would be fun but not something I could make happen at the moment.

Good luck, rally racing in Georgia is about as common as off shore boat racing.
Plus, stage rallies require INSANE safety equipment, be ready for a highly teched cage and such. Honestly I'd rather build a car to plow on public dirt roads in my spare time. lol

I went to the sandblast rally - it was a blast.
There is another event in Valdosta on the 28th.
The safety equipment is pretty hardcore but it did seem fun as hell.
