I don't care for the controller layout. I don't like that wireless thing you use. I prefer regular ole hand held controllers. Later, QD.

I saw the "classic controller" but I understand it doesn't work with all games? Is that correct?

I'll probably check it out tonight. This afternoon I bought a new 37" HDTV so I'm going to see how it looks. Is there an HD option for the Wii? Later, QD.

There is no hdmi for the wii

pretty much IMO the only good games for it are:
super Mario kart
super Mario world
Mario party 8
punch out wii
donkey kong barrel blast ( Mario kart is better)
wii bowling
super smash bros wii

that's about it. Pretty much any "nintendo" specific game is good. The other cross over games suck because the wii doesn't have the hardware to run it.

I only bought one for super Mario bros , then I gave it to my sister.

I got one for my Kids last year and they love it. It took me a minute to get used to it. But like scottsman said you'll have fun with buddies making a fool of themselves when you involve a couple of drinks.

I bought the Just dance game and we had epic moments buzzing and trying to dance. haha makes for good times

It really is good fun. Some of the Wiiware titles you can download are good fun too.

Oh, and there are Component cables that up the video output from 480i to 480p. It's a must have for an HDTV.

It is a good party console because the controls for many of the games are easy to figure out quickly and the games are simple and fun.

Do ya like OS NES/SNES games? i've got 1600 on mine.
I look at weather.
Theres a bunch of simple games that are pretty fun. mini golf, mario games, fishing, etc...

I bought mine a couple years ago. its nice to sit and play a simple game for a bit and not have to get too hardcore into something like Call of Duty.
