New user in Gwinnett/Athens

Hey, I'm Alex Otto from Gwinnett, currently in school at UGA in Athens. I typically make the Atlanta Varsity meet on the first Thursday of each month. I own a 2001 Honda CRV and a 1994 Chevy S-10 4x4. I want to modify the CRV (B20Z) and the S-10 is set up for offroading with 31x10.50 BFG Mud Terrains and a 3" body lift. Hit me up for offroading and hanging out around Gwinnett, Athens, Atlanta, and Marietta. Peace!

Thanks for the welcome. I've been kicked off of that place 3 times by cops lol. Had to get towed out once by a Cherokee on 38s when my 4WD broke back in 2005 lol. If y'all still go I'm down. We just have to be careful because cops and private security patrol hard back there. I got a tresspassing warning once there and at another trail near Lawrenceville :police:

Rock springs is on rock springs road right next to rocksprings elementary
Hurricane shoals is litterally on Hurricane Shoals..
Stanley road is a road right next to stars and strikes and the QT-it's a gravel road that goes for about a quarter mile then on the sides theres a bunch of mudding trails




talk to me at the publix meet on thursday and we can talk about the places lol. my buddy who knows so many locations will be there he can tell you.

Thank you! I have a good friend who has a stock Toyota Tacoma that keeps up with me, I love offroading with Toyotas- we should try and do some trails together sometime.

Well I have to be upfront and honest. Mine isn't exactly stock anymore. 38 boggers, custom flexy 11" susp, locked front and rear to start.

Damn :D I want to be on 35s, SFA, leaf over axle front and rear, and locked one day lol. Where do you wheel? I've been to Tellico twice and kept up with Rubicons on 35s on Trail 5. Damn near broke my truck in half in the process lol.

I wish I was back on 35s... 38s look AWESOME but are too much tire for the truck. Too heavy and not enuf hp (I'm still running stock 22RE 4cyl.) I've been to Tellico. I love it when I get to ride an ATV and watch others break. I didn't have much fun when I took my 4runner and broke it in the middle of it snowing. I got to Union Grove around here though. I'm the small guy that goes there.. but I'm the most trail and rock capable. Where they are just mud trucks. So it's all in what ya like.

Yeah exactly- I prefer rocks and trails to mud, although I did do my share of mudding when I first got the truck 7 years ago in high school. Tore it up bad once- hydrolocked the engine in a big waterhole lol. Runs fine now! Got all of the water out by removing the spark plugs and bumping the starter- it shot water out of the block so hard!

When Tellico reopens, if ever, I'd love to go again on bigger tires. I think with the right gearing I can pull 35s with no problem. Do you have different gears in the Yota?
