ok so i have a 91 crx si. its got a slight power draw to it.. i need some advice on how to fix this.

(if i leave my headlights on without the car running for 10 minutes it needs jump)

battery is brand new and charges up just fine and starts right up most times.

i think it could be my ignition switch being as old as it is, but my alternator is fine. it charges my battery as it should.

i also think it might be a wire crossed with my blinker or something becasue my left corner blinker comes on when i turn on my right blinker.

but im pretty positive it has to do with the wiring going to my left headlight because i just put in two brand new bulbs and within ten minutes of them being on, they both blew. not just the metal coils inside but the whole lightbulb.

im no tech so i dont wanna be messing with my wiring and make it even worse. so anyone with a good idea please let me know.

(im also up for any lowering springs, headers, intakes, exhaust, door speaker, head units, amber corners and bumper lights, shift knobs, etc. you might be wanting to sell. ill consider anything you throw at me. )

check the muffler bearing....nah jk. sounds like you have massive electrical issures, id recommend taking it somewhere, electrical issues are best left to those who know what they are doing...

Take a test light or a multimeter and start checking every fuse / relay under the dash and under the hood with the car off and the key out of the ignition. A few things (like the radio) should have a small power draw with the key off but eventually you should come across a hot fuse that shouldn't be hot. Once you find what circuit the draw is coming from its basic trouble-shooting from there... if you've added anything to that circuit (system, fogs, etc...) then you probably wired something to a constant... if you haven't added anything to that circuit start tracing wires and looking for a short... Good luck man!!! These things can be VERY frustrating.

is anyone else not seeing the part where he leaves his head lights on for 10 min with the car off? why the hell are you doing that in the first place? dont leave them on and you dont have to worry about getting a jump. problem solved!

nah it doesnt have any subs or anything that would kill the battery just a couple of infinity 6x9s i just put in like 2 days ago. but yeah. anyone would know leaving your headlights on for ten minutes shouldnt kill your battery. the car has nothing extra wired to it other than the door speakers. its bone stock. but its obvious the owner before me was messing with the wiring cause some stuff was hanging down behind the radio i had to tape up. but thanks for the suggestions. ill try it.
