Ey what's up IA I have a ej1 with a swap. And I didn't know the spedo was not reading the right speed till I pulled up next to a 8th gen honda and saw her spedo reading 60 and mine 67ish.... I was right next to her, not going any faster or slower. Whats could be the problem? And how to fix it...

well start with thinking of the stock sized wheels, and then what wheels you have now.
There is a gear in your trans that reads how fast it spins, and transmits it back. When you change dimensions of the things that rotate then it throws it out of balance.

Easiest (not the cheapest mind you) thing to do would be to get a GPS navigator. Some(most) models can tell you how fast you're going. You'll also then have a GPS navigator, quite a few don't require you buy a monthly plan or anything, just pay for the device, plug it in and go.

(this took me about 10 mins to write up,research, and do all the fancy fonts, so be thankful)
A stock ej1 (1992 civic DX hatchback from what googled, I don't speak Honda code, so I assumed the trim levels and such) had 175/70/13s with a major diameter of 22.7 inches. Larger tires will make the speedo read slower, and smaller tires will make it read higher.
STOCK 175/70/13 -->22.7 inch major diameter This will yield the most accurate speedometer
Good sizes:
185/65/13 --> 22.4 inches major diameter -.3 inch difference
195/65/13--> 23 inches major diamter +.3 inch difference
195/60/13--> 22.2 inches major diameter -.5 inch difference
205/60/13--> 22.7 inches major diamter very accurate speedometer, same as stock
215/55/13-->22.3 inches major diameter -.4 inch difference
215/60/13-->23.1 inch major diameter +.4 inch difference
225/55/13-->22.8 +.1 inch difference
14 inch sizes:
185/60/14-->22.8 major diameter +.1 inch difference
195/55/14-->22.4 inches major diameter -.3 inch difference
205/55/14-->22.9 inches major diameter +.2 inch difference
215/50/14-->22.5 inches major diameter -.2 inch difference
225/50/14-->22.9 inches major diameter +.2 inch difference

Ej1's should come with 14's. They are the ex model. Ej2's are the dx trim.
