Just bought a set of these speakers:

What type of Bass blockers do I need? I was thinking 150 hz? Can anyone give me some quick feedback? Thanks

Do you have an aftermarket radio or any sort of tuning capability other than using bass blockers? If not, i'd just buy a few different frequencies and test out to see what you like

Yeah, I have an aftermarket headunit.

these are setup to be component setups. honestly at 150 htz your going to kill the response of these plate speakers. If anything get something around 70 htz but no higher than 80 htz. because if you xover at 150 htz your going to lose out on alot of low end voice and a lot of decent sound quality!

I'm thinking I may go for 100Hz blockers for now. After some snooping around the internet on how capacitors work and what not and I figured for a 2 ohm load and a 100HZ cut off I need ~795.8 uF non polarized Capacitor... here's the math I came up with:

C = 1/ (2 * pi * R *fc) where pi = 3.14159, R = 2, and fc = 100

C= 1/ (2 * 3.14159 * 2 * 100)

C= 1/ (12,566.36)

C= .00079577

C= 795.8uF for 100Hz cutoff frequency of a 2 ohm speaker.

Does this sound about right? Physics II blows ass

These speakers are going into the rear, I got these to put in the front. I don't plan on using bass blockers for these...

I figure the rears would be a good supplement on the higher frequencies. I just want nice crisp clear sounds.

get you a good 4 ch amp and adjust the crossover accordinly. forget about the bass blockers altogether.
