well its always better to get moar air into the cylinders but i think the cam and timing is wher you start to run into valves touching.....ive seen where engine builders use putty to make sure valve clearances are gravy during builds but i have no useful info on this stuff.....

^^thanks for input guys. I'm more than likely going to buy the head anyway and if I can't use the valves I'll just part them out.

Any1 have any info on the ring question?

shit put the head on.. put some more parts on it.. Get the motor "clayed" you will know Exact how much clearance you have.

Yea I was leaning to the CP pistons more, the only thing is they have a lower CR than the JE but its not that much so I don't think it'l make that much of a difference.

O btw omar told me about ur ride, sounds like its gonna be nice :ninja:

Oversize valves not needed, unless you going for really high HP. I suggest the Cp pistons, we all run them in our race cars and never had problems with them.

Ok yea I've pretty much decided on CP pistons. Would it be bad to run with oversized valves tho? B/c they come with the head I'm planning to buy.
