To The Black C5 Z06 On 75 South Near Dalton???

Just giving you the thumbs up on our runs we had on Friday 1/15/2010 and letting you know what a nice car you got there and seeing if you might be apart the wonderful world of Importatlanta.:goodjob:

If you are on here and if anyone might know the car i'm talking about it is a black C5 Z06 with the newer C6 Z06 chrome rims on it and I know it had a cam and exhaust and not sure just what else but I would like to know.

We pulled out of a Cheveron gas station and got on 75 south and that is when the fun started, he started gassing/jumping it at me first so I started hitting the blow-off valve back at him. I was on only 17/18psi of boost at the time because I had a little of a alcohol mix with my pump gas in the car so I cant run my normal settings because it will lean out on me. When we got to a spot were we were clear to run I got beside him and he started smiling and waving me to just go ahead and go BUT he did not know that I was no regular srt-4:D so the first race I won by a car or so, lol:bump:. The second race I was not so lucky:no:, he was more ready this time, we started from a 70 mph roll or so and he got the jump a little on me this time, 3rd gear he got ahead of me about a finder or so and when I shifted to 4th he automatically pulled on up to make it about a car to a car and a half or so ahead and we stayed that way all the way to around 150 mph or so before we let out so he got me that time:cry:.

Anyways good runs bro, I had a ball doing it, it has been a while since I have even ran anyone and I was due, lol. I would like to do it again with me on my normal settings around 20/22psi just to see how it would turn out that way, I think you would be surprised that way:yes:, lol.

my old car trapped 120 and would hang(or pull a car) with cam'd, bolt-on C5Z's so if your trapping 129 you should have no issue at all with them.

Probably a drivers race. Stock C6Z's trap anywhere from 126-130mph I believe. A h/c C5Z with a decent driver will trap around the same.

No, not really any of it were it is running good, I wish I did though, it seems like everytime I get into a race I never have a camera but when I do have it nothing ever happens. I have a Precision/Garrett 6031 Ball Bearing turbo upgrade rated at 590hp.

i only had issues with them on stock turbo with all those vacuum lines. i never had any leaks after i went big turbo and got rid of that chuck of sillyniods and all those lines attached to them.

The only thing i mis about mine was the decent gas milage it got and the fact that it was a good looking car none the less i thought.it didn't cost me much to drive it and then i could have a little fun here and there with it and it not cost me much u no:goodjob:

I love the 40 rolls myself and would have reather done a 40. I beat from a 40 with all the wheel spin I get he would have probably leaped out on me though, the back tires on that thing looked like it was tubbed out or something they were so wide.

Yea, me too, I had fun ower first run. The night I ran you I was running *15 to *18 degrees of timing and I have it at like *23 degrees right now so it has woke up a little more now. I just have to get my af's straightened out better now and it should be good.

thats why i sold mine. 10K just for a turbo kit?!?!!? then you need fuel, return line, clutch, engine management, tune and other stuff. expect 15K to boost one stock block and make 400whp.

i always mod my cars with a small budget, it couldnt be done with the Z.

eh, I've had five factory boosted cars and now have my third v8. I much prefer the v8 even though my last turbo car was probably a bit faster.

I don't even have any pictures of it right now, when I get it cleaned up I will try and post one up if I can figure out how to, lol. I have never posted anything like that on a site before just through e-mails.

It is e'blue with a big polished out frontmount, one of a kind rims thats black with a polished lip on the inside instead of the outside like most, carbonfiber hood and a carbonfiber trunk and lowered on hotchkis suspension. It's a sexy beast in my opinion, lol.

Na, there 18's but I would not mind havings some 19's on it though. I have always been a fan of 19's myself but i'm not sure if 19's would fit it without going to a different kind of strut or something. With the 18's and the 40 series tire's they like about a half of an inch from scrubbing the struts. I had some deep dish 19's on my 300zx back in the day and they really set it off.

Im going to get mine on a Dyno and check the a/f ratio and do a few things to the suspension and try to hit the track. I wanna do all I can not to break something because I cant afford to be down long. We going to take em to the track?

Im going to get mine on a Dyno and check the a/f ratio and do a few things to the suspension and try to hit the track. I wanna do all I can not to break something because I cant afford to be down long. We going to take em to the track?

Ok, I was thinking that it was more at me, Bear gets to serious about the oldschool muscle cars like that vs a car like mine, lol. I just like to play around with him about it, he's cool though. I think you should just invest in a wideband that way you will know at all times for yourself. I see them used for pretty cheap all the time on srtforums and to me they are really a must have with a modded boosted car like yours imo.

We do need to get to the track sometime, I would like to see what your car will do myself, i've done been wondering just how quick it is since you got it, lol.

I might, I will have to see if I have the money to or not. I am working on getting my af's straightened out as we speak with Pt-performance so hopefully they will be good and straight by then. I got the video camera out and videoed my rpm tach and wideband doing 4th gear pulls and they were like this:

4,000rpm's=10.5 af's
4,500rpm's=11.3 af's
5,000rpm's=11.2 af's
5,500rpm's=10.5 af's
6,000rpm's=11.1 af's
6,400rpm's=10.4 af's

So hopefully I can pick up a little more power and smoothness out of it when they get straightened up. So after driving around with the delta 46 for a while and now going back to the delta 44 which one do you think you like the best and which felt the strongest boost per boost?

I need a fuel pressure guage too so I can see when my pressure drops when I get below quarter tank. A wideband will come later. I dont mess with my tune so I need to check my a/f before I go out. Im curious myself, I wanna launch on Radials but I need to beef up my suspension and get rid of some wheel hop

Me too, it should move out pretty good with that Procharger on 16psi like that. You need to hurry up and put some gas in that damn thing so I can feel it for myself.:goodjob:

I went and done some research and with a 3.10 pulley and a AFM powerpipe I should be aound 13psi. The car was tuned in 10-20 degree weather so that may be where he got the 16 psi, or the messed up boost guage, lol.

Change of plans actually..im just sending the 46 back to get repaired and letting the car sit till its done. No use in switching twice I guess.

And the 46 is BY FAR better. it was hitting 18psi (which it was set to at 3k) the 44 made 317 at 18psi while the 46 was around the 345whp mark

Yea same tq curve... I would say 22psi it would be 400whp on pump gas no meth and 26psi would be 450ish

Sweet, I cant wait to get a smaller turbo like that and have that much power with that fast of a spool-up, mine might make good power like that in the high rpm range but if we raced I think you would get me because of the longer powerband you have. Hell, as soon as I get into my powerband good I have to freakin shift gears.
