These wheels look worse in real life than in Forza.

:lmfao:, but on to a serious note.

There are parts EVERYWHERE for them, and usually pretty affordable. They made "ok" power back then (this applies to most older cars though), but for modern day person who has drove newer "muscle" cars, they are just plain weak. If you just wanna DD it, spend a little money on the basic mods and I think you'll be happy. That's just my :2cents:

Get a 92 if you want FI - the pistons are forged up to 92.

Get a coupe if possible - they are lighter.

Black on black is the most popular color if you go to resell later.

Everyone has Cobra Rs or Weld Draglites.

Anything over 450rwhp on a stock block is more likely to be a ticking time bomb.

Stock 5sp is really only supposed to handle around 300ft/lbs tq, but if you are careful, they can be pushed farther - but plan to spend to upgrade the tranny.

corral.net has a lot of info for you, as does turbomustangs.com and stangnet.com

I managed to get mine with a Vortech on it. Cheaper in the long run if you get it mostly complete. Look for one with low mileage.

I just got one my self its a 88 gt! I dont know to much about it yet as I am still doing research myself lol but ill post what I do know. Since you are getting a 93 you will not have to do the maf conversion on your car like i do lol:doh::cry: This means your car can accept a reasonable cam swap! These cars have 205 hp and 275 ftˇlb of torque stock. Most people go with the b303 ford racing cam but its really up to you. Another cheap mod is to get heads from an ford explorer (5.0 of course) and I think they are called the gt40e r gt40p heads......anyway this is just another thing to do to it to get more power. (sarcastic voice) Also ford came up with a wonderful idea to put this thing on your distributor called the TFI module....this thing likes to go bad because of all the heat that is generated in or around the distributor. If this decides to go out then it will cause stalling, misfires, and even cause the distributor to stop firing. If you do more research or just pm me ill find the link which tells you how to move the module to a different location. Some people have never had one fail and some have.....I for one have lol:( I did the 5 lug conversion on my car and I bought the front half from a member on here n got the back half from jegs. Ill pm you more info about that as well if you want lol I only spent $300.00 for my swap. It was worth it cause I now have the 96 Cobra wheels on my car and they look great. :boobies: Thats all I can think of right now I hope this helps and have fun with your 5.0! O! And if i messed something up someone please correct me!!
THANKS!!!!!!:goodjob:

There are ALOT better ots cams, if you want a decent ots cam look for a tf stage 1 or a wolverine 1087. They are usually in the same price range as the b and they have a wider power band.

If you do get one, I would just keep it stock and work on "restoring" it. Mabey do a rear-end gear change, if its too slow, but other than that keep it original. Unless you just want to make a drag car or have a project car.

Fox body's are popular for three reasons... Easy to obtain, Plethora of after market support, And arguably other then a 1G DSM the best bang for your buck for speed. They are NOT popular because they are a classic or worth restoring. :2cents:

Get a coupe, resale is better on them, they are lighter...and I think they look better.

If you can find one with a 351 in it thats the way to go. The 302 blocks tend to split in half at around 500hp.

A while back I put a 70mm single on a stock bottom end motor and it went 10.4s for a pretty reasonable amount of money. I didn't keep it long so I can't say how long it would have lasted at that power level

I personally prefer the sn95 over almost any mustang with the exception of any '65 or '68 :D due to the fact that they kinda stray away from the square style of body and when done right they have a mean ass look to them. ;)

Most cars I come across with the 302 to 351 swap still aren't running. As a matter of fact, I've only seen one, and he sold it for a new edge with the 4.6 because of them having a more stable modable motor. The 4.6 has been about the best platform for modding on mustangs so far. :2cents:

 only say restore to maintain value better.
