I've been trying to figure out if there are any other cams besides BC and Blox that make all motor LS/B20 cams. I don't want an all out racing spec, but something a little more aggressive. I really want to stay away from an LS/Vtec build, so any other advice/info on mods for the LS would be nice. :D

www.nonvtec.com (http://www.nonvtec.com)Preciate it! :D

I've been on this board before, and i've just looked through it, but I'm still haveing a hard time finding a definite answer. Besides the usual 404's, are there other aftermarket cams?

EDIT: I just did a little more research and bisimoto makes a regrind. Any reviews on that?

What is your compression ratio - also what IM are u using and head/headwork/header??

Stock stock stock. :DIt's got a DC header on there, but i hardly consider that a mod. I want to build around the cam. I know i want to port the head in the future, get a better flowing header, and build the bottom end. I just wanted to see if I had other choices besides what everybody else is doing.

The crower 404s is going to be your best bet - you need to get the KiddRacing header if u have a budget - or a real RMF if you can afford it.

404s on stock cam gears will give you the best power for OEM parts. Then once you add compression degree them in (Charles at Mainstream) per the cam card for more power, or step up to the BC0023 (BC).

^^ i agree crower makes great cams for a non vtec setup....404 camshafts, upgrade the springs and retainers and you'll be good...

Thanks for the info. So, rocking the 404's on OEM cam gears should suffice until i add other significant mods. (i.e. rods, pistons). I'm already ahead of you with the header. ;)

I'm not really shooting for crazy numbers, but just something responsive and reliable with a little bit of a punch. :goodjob:

My buddy has the 403's with stock valve train and it runs great, very quick... Beats GSR's all day....

did some research and most guys recommend to upgrade your Valve Springs and Retainers with both the 403 and 404...is it safer to upgrade or will it be just as safe with stock??? i may be throwing in a set of cams in mine in the near future as well...nothing exciting just I/H/E then the cams and a tune...

I've been in this game way too long to overlook stuff that could end up making me spend more money anyway. If I can't do it right then I wont do it. :D

Jg makes ls cams also guy had a set for a ls for 100$ I cant remember his sn though. But they are called Jg 301s I think.Alot of people say they are better cams then crower because they make more midrange power then crower.

The graph looks pretty good!

BUT for the parts listed, I would rather put all that in a B16 or other B series VTEC motor and make MORE POWER and the SAME TORQUE... .Juss sayin

Ej allmotas car was a really simple build. No name header and 403s and it made more than a stock gsr motor and way more linear.

I think he added a b16 head now and it makes at or over 200whp
