That is a very bad idea. Impersonating a police officer as you did can land you in a heap of trouble.

I don't think that defense would hold up well in court at all. Just be careful driving around in that thing. We all know that sometimes what you are charged with by police officers isn't what actually happened. Unfortunately, the word and edict of police officers is often considered to be more true than what civilians can offer.

In my opinion, you were wrong when you whipped your car around and went after her. You were impossibly out of line when you got out of the car and told her about her transgression. By definition of what you did, that was impersonation of a police officer.
