i thought about doing this in the summer when school is out and i can utilize some tax money on my prelude. Right now i'm riding on a F22A and i did you research and found the F20B with specs much like the K20 and H22 and really convinced to do it. now the question is . would the motor just gonna mount in without any further parts? and what about the tranny ? would i still need new tranny or clutch? to my thinking it should be ok since its another F series but i'm not a mechanic so i rather ask you car GURUs.. please give me inputs.

The tranny you have will work, it will also bolt right in, however you will need to do some little wiring things to make everything work properly. Also depending on the year of your car depends on what you have to do. I would install a new clutch (unless you already have a new one on your motor).

Got to love the F-H series motors for being interchangable... Like Emino said make sure u get a better clutch too, and I know my buddy put an F23 trans to his H22 and it didn't like shifting past 7K, idk if it was just that trans or because they weren't made to do it... So if u plan on racing it, I would consider an H22 trans..(PS: his blew up 3 months later in a race too)... And also have u considered just the H22, cause the F20 if I remember correctly doesn't have as much torque, but the same Horsepower as the H22 for the same price, usually???
