My neighbor's wife has a 96 Accord LX, Automatic.
Its got 162k on it and seems to be in good mechanical shape.
Recently, the trans cannot decide what gear to stay in, 3rd or 4th. It constantly jumps back and forth while driving and becomes quite annoying and probably unsafe.
What causes this, how would I go about fixing this, how long can I expect the trans to last or is it about to blow up?
