Today the fun fact is:

"It's not wise to gut your daily drivers interior including all weather stripping especially with no heat. It makes mornings when the temperature is 15 entirely miserable. Especially when you can feel cold air blowing through on your legs and such."

I hope you've learned something from today's fun fact, check in tomorrow for the next Fun Fact of the Day.

It was me, not to save weight though.

That's like saying removing carpet from a Honda saves weight.

if it was your project car, it's understandable, but a daily driver? a daily driver is supposed to be comfortable.

I've never owned a comfortable DD, I hate comfortable. It's boring.

Oh, when I get another project car I'm keeping my prelude. It's nice, it's got ac, heat, cd player with auxiliary connection (i can play my ipod, fuck cds), good gas mileage. No complaints from that car, other than it being slow and fwd, but it's a great DD.

I tried a car with A/C and all for a while, I never used A/C, it was just a boring car.

I do have a radio though.

I won't start stripping stuff out of my car until it is a dedicated track car. I'm with Ed on this. I want to be somewhat comfortable when I'm using it everyday.

Lol I learned this fact in 1990 when I drove my FB to Maine from Athens....no heat, heater box removed and underwear and socks shoved in the vent holes.

After that day....Never did I remove a heating system ever again. Because, while comfortable is boring, freezing your freaking balls off is never a loving proposition either.

Im actually gonna redo the interior in the STi to make it more comfortable before I try to make it faster.

I had a stripped Honda(not by choice) and imo that shits gay for a street car. It didn't make me feel like I was on a racetrack while I was going to work or anything.

Plus comfortable is only boring if your car is boring. My DSM has a full, perfect interior and is perfectly fine to drive in any conditions. Doesn't make it boring at all.
