My jetta has traction control and abs. Not good enough for a hill on the way out of my neighborhood. My fiance's car has neither (focus) and we cant get her car back in our driveway.

Apparently there is a 27 car accident near the airport.

Be safe!

On a side note - went to let my car warm up. When I turned it over there was a loud pop then every 2 seconds or so I would hear a sound like someone firing a laser gun. Pew!....Pew!....Pew! when the noise would happen my lights and instruments would dim. It stopped doing it now but that was a serious wtf moment. :screwy:

Drove to Chamblee from Dallas. Roads were fucked on the Dallas into Marietta side. I told my wife to stay home with the kids.

No problems at all getting to work. I let my car warm up for about 30 minutes to let everything melt. The roads weren't bad at all. Little patches here and there but nothing to prevent me from getting to work on time. However, there are like 10 people here and not 1 manager from any dept here yet.

Most of the time it's better to turn traction control off. Most of the time with the thin ice we have you can spin the tire enough to burn through the ice and catch real pavement.

In deeper snow it's better to not have abs. But since it barely snowed and is icy I would leave that turned on.

Go give it hell!!!!!!

yeah, geico really isn't the cheapest like they say. Progressive was cheaper than Geico..and Statefarm is cheaper than both. who'd you go with?

oh, and I got to work fine.. last night.

No work for me today, but I did make a trip out to Batlground and on the way there it was pretty clear. Coming back home going down Chastain there are some nice sized ice patches. Took the turn to get in my neighborhood and the front end just slid. A little opposite lock and everything was just fine.

had fun trying to make it up one of the hills going to 41 on southern poly campus around 1pm this afternoon. had to get a running start in order to coast up past most of the ice. watched my friend in his 300zxtt spin out and hit a curb.
