I have been reading in some of the threads and seems like there may be alot of electrical problems with these? Anything else i should worry about or look for before i purchase? Is it worth the investment or should i look into a jetta? All help appreciated it, trying to get out of the honda/acura world for awhile.:goodjob:

s4 would be perfect if i had the money lol. now im looking into a b6 1.8t. I dont see many people on here with these. But it seems like audi's in general give alot of mechanical problems?

they're a good bit of upkeep, but all german vehicles kinda are.

yeah he wouldnt bother b/c he owns an S4 if you are looking at a 1.8t, they arent bad cars. And you can whether most would like to admit it or not produce alot of HP with that little motor. Its just easier with an S4 b/c of the 2.7Bi-turbo motor. You can spend 5000$ and get 500hp easy and have all wheel drive. Both are good cars.

He is going with a GLI i believe he said. Cheaper to purchase, factory BBS' are pimp and mods are the same. :goodjob: But Audizine.com is a cool site! I r on there too! :boobies:

The 1.8t has massive power potential. When buying used make sure the timing belt, water pump have already been done. They'll break and fubar the head at around 75-85k. It's a common problem. If it hasn't been done, DO IT as soon as you get the car.

yea man i have heard the same from alot of people about the potential and the timing belt. The car currently has 68k so i'll make sure to make that priority. appreciate the advice
