What is this BIG difference that XBOXers constantly rant on about? Why do they hate us? :(
I want to understand more about this XBL "Online Networking" What makes it better than PSN?
Can some one give me pros and cons? like non-biased. cuz there are TONS the PS3 can do and ive yet to find something that a 360 can do that would make say... "ohhhhhhh yeah das a it! better" :yes:

yeah... i get similar responses as well. But with a much more hateful tone. Most XBOXers have never even seen a PS3 to compare. No there are the rare XBOXer like JITB that's played PS3 and have given honest opinions and even pointed out the better traits the PS3 has but the majority arent as open minded as him. They hate PS3 with all their might. Its like segregation all over again.

it is easier to navigate and fnd what i want. it is just more user friendly imo.

other than that the internet is the internet. i use xbl for all my multi platform games because most of my friends have it too. i have had an xbox360 for years and got a ps3 a year and a half ago.

i will admit though that the ps3 is a better system because you can browse the net and play blueray and free wireless adapter.

yea haha thats when/why i got it. still have the game play from time to time.

i really just use the ps3 for uncharted2 and littlebigplanet (soon to get MAG)

I have heard that the support is better and faster for XBL than PSN because it is a paid service, but since I only have XBL, I can't give info from personal experience.

psn is upgrading to a premium version of psn that will allow you to do everything xbox can for less money. the premiun will let you play music while your in chat and you can talk to people in a voice chat while you play a game, instead of just people on your team... so ive heard..... xbox fails btw.

and we have metal gear solid, one of the best story lined games or all time in my opinion. f*** haloi mean honestly lets see, you have snake a bad ass mean one man army trying to save the world, then you have master chief, some kind of android stopping a alien race from destroying the human race with a halo....... snake smokes, he cusses he is just bad ass, and its not some dumb first person bullshit. i dont know ive played halo its fun if thats what your into but i will always stand firm beside my ps3 before xbox. i like redtube. I heard (HEARD), that you can only directly jump into friends games on XBL, and PS doesn't do that. Ex, if I turn my xbox on and see a buddy playing Team Deathmatch on MW2, I can just click to join and hop directly in his/her game. But Ive never seen how the PS online works

1. That's a given. Most of the folks I know have a PS3 so I don’t play by myself. It is fun playing with friends so that’s why we PS3ers do it.

Well I use my xbox all the time to watch movies and tv shows. last.fm is nice also for when cleaning the house and want to jam or having a party and want to put some music on. The facebook app is kinda cool. Pointless for the most part but still cool and I use it every once and awhile. It always hooked me up with friends that I didn't know where on live.

As far as the trophies. It just seemed like a weak attempt to copy xbox's achievements.

Well PS3 has Netflix now. and we have an internet browser and as you know there are MANY online radio stations out there (i know some require flash) but there are radio stations that we can go to and of course there are many places to watch TV shows.
When the wife is on her facebook on the laptop and a friend is on my PC i have my big ass extra PC (PS3+48" TV) in the living room. i love it! :D

XbL party system is another great thing, being able to chat with friends playing 8 different games. Watch movies with friends online..a little gay at first but cool.

As far as internet is internet, it is, but as far as internet gaming, the xbox live system is geared like 80% gaming, and 20% entertainment.
The Ps3 seems to be 50/50 split, which is coo.. but most of us own these thigns to play games on.

XBL overall seems alot more social than PSN, they have spent along time trying to perfect xbl as a paid service. And it is well worth the 50$year-8$month , i havent heard anyone complain about it that plays. Ive been on Xblx since it started nov.15 2002..lol

PSN will be getting a premium service where you can choose what apps you want to use and pay what you want to pay by choosing those services.
oh and they will be including the chatting thing that the xbl has. :) and on some of the services you get to play any and all PS1 classics for free and get game betas.

the old Dreamcast titles are still up in the air for purchase, id rather see them go to both platforms.. rather than just one..

but that list of stuff is everything Xbl already has 10$ more a year, and 1$ a more a month... It takes years to get all that stuff ironed out, and working right, Xbl just got to a point to where it runs as smooth as it does.

that premium stuff sounds cool tho.

1. The 360 interface is prettier with more navigation tools.

2. Trophies and Achievements are the same d@mn thing. Saying one is better than the other is pointless.

3. Both have a WIDE selection of movies and TV shows for rent/purchase.

4. Both (as far as I recall) have both full games and demos available for purchase/download.

It comes down to what system you're loyal to. I've had both and can say that both online interfaces function well enough for what they're intended to do: gaming. I've gone through 2x 360's and finally got a PS3 due to being a PS2 fanboy. Some feel otherwise.

It boils down to this: If you want to pay the monthly fee for XBL and get a shiny interface and some chat options then go with that. If you want a more basic, yet free, interface then go with PSN. That's essentially the only difference.

Its more user friendly and also I find it to have less problems connecting on XBL and a lot less lag.

If you ever played FIFA 10 on PSN then FIFA 10 on XBL you would see there is a huge difference. Thats about it. PSN does have more mature people thou, theres a bunch of 10 year olds on XBL.

yea u cant go online like internet explorer on the 360 of course not, but you can access your pc's audio/video/pictures like the ps3. The ps3's pc access is alot easier, but the 360 just takes a few minutes to setup.. But with the new 7 i hear it sets itself up and connects instantly.

yea i never said you could go on the internet without modding the xbox, but i said with the original xbox it could be modded to do that, so its not a hard thing or something that cant be done by MS in the future. And the 360 can be modified to be a pc and run windows/linux aswell. I think that MS will add Internet explorer as an option with the 360 in the future.... i think when or if they redo the IE it will happen.


but as far as PSN - XBL online gameplay Xbox LIve wins.. but the ps3 is full of extras, and entertainment that the 360 cant do....yet. It would be nice to have this...but honestly id rather have better games, and a solid multiplayer experience.

BS lol. I have owned both systems and online play I have experienced no lag on the PS3 besides on a beta which still never really occured. Alright here we go when you buy the 360 your buying a multiplayer platform gaming system that can play music and dvds. When you buy the PS3 your buying practically everything on a home entertainment system. If you dont have a computer in your room your also buying that w/ the PS3 but your computer is on your large screen not a 20" monitor. It's cheaper buying a ps3 than a computer, blu ray, gaming system, music, wifi etc. It's all built into one, and their online play is evolving bigger. Shoot they will have FFXIV on it and that's said to be the one of the most popular, biggest MMO's coming out that will be on gaming systems and computer and 360 probably wont get that for years, PS3 and computer are both coming out at the same time. Xbox live actually can be a pain in the ass w/ other companies.

I know what xbox is better at, getting broken. lol ok i had to get that out ok im a ps3 owner but a friend of mine let me borrow his 360 for months and i had xbox live on it. the only thing i probably missed out on is playing halo but i dont care cause i personally dont like alien shooters i like the real deal type of things. the interface i dont believe it was all that because IMO ps3 has all the same things and i also thought that having that stupid avatar for ur xbox live account was just plain retarded whoever pays money to put clothes on that avatar needs to send me the money instead...reallly. I do have a pro though since XBL is a paid service it does have very good servers to connect to and everything unlike ps3 it lags most the time and servers shut down out of nowhere i am of course referring to MW2 well that was my rant thank you for reading.
