Like they said Iowa had a month to study GT's Option and shut it down on D. If they had only a week to study that Offense option would have been a different story.

Yea... GT fails. Interception on the second to last drive killed em. If you complete just one pass in the entire Bwol game, and win isnt what yoru seeking.

THats BS lol. GT is a running option team, yes they arent very good in passing but they have the big run option. Like I stated above if Iowa didnt have a month to study their option it would have been a different outcome. Usually they have 300 yards rushing a game, that game they were in the 100's. Just saying.

GT also had a month to prepare their offense for the Iowa defense and we see how well they did there. The month off is a complete BS excuse, unless you think the GT coaches and players just took that month off and didnt do anything.

Nah you got it wrong there man. When you have a run option you really dont study the d-fence on your set runs you study who to block and so forth. When offence studies d its mere watching blitzing offgaurd blocking, which way the d goes but you can change this any set time. It's different stating studying the d to your offence cuz d changes during the play picking up guys, or going man to man. Listen to Jimmy Johnson he stated the same thing cuz he used to do a run option offense like this when he coached college. His team ran for over 700 yards in one game before lol. He stated the d had to much time to read/study their option and learn who to pick up. I watched the whole game and I stated this before I even heard J. Johnson say it and at the end of the game he said it also and I laughed. They must have studied it to a key to shut it down the way they did. Studying a Dfence is alot difference than studying an offence and how to shut it down. Tech didnt get the blocks the way they usually do, the d read their plays like a book. Also when you have a set run option and that's your key way to score it's alot easier to defend cuz YOU KNOW THEY MOST LIKELY RUNNING. They knew GT wasnt a passing team. So block the run the whole game and blitz hard. TO easy.

Your post doesn't make sense. Defense changes based on offensive schemes and rarely visa versa. How many times did Iowa face a team that ran the triple option this year.... ZERO. So Georgia Tech did not have any video they could study to PREPARE their offense for Iowa triple option defense. The best they could due was work on efficiency running their offense.

After thinking about this year's and last year's bowl game, I highly doubt GT will win a bowl again a worthy opponent running that offense. They get beat by preparation. Miami had two weeks to prepare, and Iowa had a month (UGA doesn't count because they won because our QB went down and mistakes). Hopefully GT one dimension offense can grow to at least 1.5 dimension by next year LOL.

Overally, GT had a great year, and we got a conference championship! They'll comeback stronger next year!

There are ways to prepare an offense to get a defense on their heels. They could start off by passing the ball early and often. Even if they dont do well in the passing game, Iowa would HAVE to respect it, as it only take 1 missed tackle to make for a long td when you are up against 8 and 9 men in the box.

As for really creating another dimension, I saw that GT had a pretty good QB redshirted this year. I havent done any research on him, but from what I heard he is very mobile, but still a solid passer.

Personally, as a Tech Student, Hell yeah we had an awesome year in football... we went fucking 11-3 in our second year under a new coach using recruits from the previous coach! Imagine what will happen when PJ actually gets people he wants as opposed to being given a team to work with!

The problem with the Iowa game... Their Defense was outstanding. The guys there are just huge and our O line wasn't ready for that. We have our running game, and our Defense has definitely picked up since the beginning of the season. D. Morgan didn't even do much during that game and yet I feel like our Defense did pretty good considering! It was just that Iowa's Front 7 on Defense were just too good for our O line. If you compared the accomplishments of their D line to our O line I can bet they are WAY better, because that's how they breed them out there in the Midwest haha. Clayborn and Angerer seemed like they were always doing something. So on a season ending note here is to the future of the GT Yellow Jackets under CPJ. It's only going to get better with time, that much is true.

Think about it, the success they've had the past 2 years with a bunch of random people that got thrown into this offense, and how well they did. Wait till CPJ hand picks recruits and starts building HIS team. I have faith in the Yellow Jackets :) Its going to be good for awhile now...

If you compared the weights of their D line to our O line I can almost bet they are WAY bigger, because that's how they breed them out there in the Midwest haha. ...

LOL well in college people get drafted from all over the country, and the D Line usually is huge no matter where they are from. You are right though Iowa's D line owned GT's O line from the start period. They do say the Big 10 conference builds a strong D so ya they backed it up.

haha I changed my statement right after that to "The accomplishments of their D Line compared to our O line" has a little more factual basis!
