a coil would make the spark stronger, they sell msd ones at advance.

Buy a MSD cap w/ external coil plug on it, a Blaster SS coil and this and you'll be good to go. When I had mine(on my integra) we tested spark stock and then tested it with my MSD 6a w/ blaster SS coil and it was day and night difference.

well yeah you can compare coils and its like, a 12v spark vs a 120v AC arc. lol
