Alright...so im starting to look for a daily driver and Ive always had a secret love obsession with Fox Bodys.... Id be fine with a hatch but a coupe is what I truly want.

Can someone give me tips on what to look for, what to look out for, and average prices I should be around? Im really not wanting to spend more than 2000 by June.

Here is what Im wanting:

Check the torque boxes. Other than that they're fairly solid cars, find an original V8 car so you don't have to deal with the 7.5". You can usually pick up SSP coupes rather cheap... Other than that pick a flavor.

PM Bugman nd see what he has available for sale. If he doesn' thave what you want, check with Scott at Coupe Performance.
You aren't going to get a lot of car for $2K though, save a little more and get one in really good condition. $4K up you can get really nice ones.

Sorry Geroge, like some said your not going to get a good condition LX or Coupe for 2k. Coupe hold there values pretty well. Cheapest, bone stock, 100k mileage fox I have seen goes for 5-7k. A 4cyl one converted might pull around 3-4k for high mileage and a crap interior.

Torque boxes for sure but make sure to check the floor pans, seemed edges and most importantly the cowl section between the hood and the windshield. The torque boxes are an easy fix compared tot he cowl panel or floor pans. Several other lil things here and there that could turn into a nightmare later down the road.

Are you looking for the Aero Nose, 4 eyed or have any preference? I don't think your gonna run across any 5.0's running for under 4k regardless of what they are. Good deals out there right now so ya never know.

I usually don't sell anything but in the next month or so I may be letting a few of mine go including fixer uppers to DD's but not sure yet. The grand babies have my play time limited and I can't keep up with em anymore.

Good luck.
