So, I just replaced my headgasket and random other things, get everything back together, but now the problem is when my engine warms up to normal temp. it starts jumping from 1k to 2k rpms.
I've adjusted the idle screw, throttle cable, I did the cup the hand over the TB, and the engine died. I tested the TPS and it showed a reading of .98 ohms on a 20k scale. I unplugged the TPS while it was doing the jumping idle and it seemed to settle to a proper idle but was burning oil like crazy.
Any other suggestions? :???:
Thanks in advance

IACV could cause it.

either th IACV or the cold idle valve on the botto side of the tb it couldnt be the tps too much rpm jump. Best way to check it on the inside of the throttle body before the throttle plate is two holesone on top and one on bottom if you cover the top one with you finger and it stops IACV if you covoer the bottom hole cold idle valve. from the sound of it its the cold idle

iacv or a few vac leaks

correct me if I'm wrong, but covering up the TB until it died would show there's no vac leaks, and it passed that perfectly.

no it will just show u starved the motor of air. a good size vac leak isnt enough air to keep it going. but its enough to fuck your day up.

if the motor stopped immediatly it passed if it took a good 5 seconds you got a vacuum leak plus when you put your hand over the tb you should be able to hear where the vacuum leak is. but check the two idle valves thats where the problem should lye

take some brake part cleaner spray on the area where air passes when the car bogs problem found.

with everything u said was done im going with a vac leak of some kind. hose gasket clamp something.
