I got a ys1 tranny that needs a new throwout bearing and I can't figure out what year it is, so therefore I can't figure out which one I'm supposed to get!!!!! I got one for a 93 gs but it has two slits on each side their is no clip or spring to hold it to the arm thing. someone with info please lmk thanks

you can look at the numbers on the tranny and then look on ebay for that same tranny for sale.........you might find one and it will usually tell the year is fits.......or you can type it into GOOGLE and check the forums........good luck!

Sounds like you're just missing the return/retainer spring. That's what the slots are for.

I bought one at the Acura dealership for 9 bucks. It's common for the tips of the springs where they go thru those slots and hook behind the release fork to wear and break off.
I only said all that to say that a new one is cheap insurance.
