SSIDE (Griffin / Henry Co. / Jackson / Lamar County) OG here. 1st trip out to the illegals was 1995 in a juiced notch, also ran a "big shot" single cam EG hatch against a lot of the guys we call OGs now, and some guys we don't even know where the hell they are anymore. Cat named Billy the Kidd had an electric blue all-motor Notch that nobody wanted any of - he was from Butts County (Jackson) area out in the fucking sticks and could GTFD w/ blown cars, juiced cars, turbo cars - didn't matter. LaGrange was one of the hottest spots back then and was well worth the trip out there. LaGrange PD would show up to watch - and then if shit got crazy they'd break it up. We ran on the access road w/in eyeshot of the i85. Those were the good days. Left for Air Force in 1997 - 2004. Came back to ATL in 2004 to a scene that was better in a lot of ways - and worse in a lot of ways.

I had a lot more fun in my bolt on '85 Corvette than I do in my Z06. The Z06 is leap years ahead as far as technology and performance go, but for the pure "feel" and "fun" factor, I've gotta say the 'ol rigid suspension LCD dash cable throttle and clutch car with the "torque monster" L-98 in it was more enjoyable to drive around.

He posts his dyno numbers, suspension mods, what tires he will be on, and we all know he had an 11.7 for the longest time, before he beat that with an 11.4 recently. After the LONG discussion about your car, I was checking the 1/4 mile slip area and saw where you had posted your times about running at the track. The last time you posted (at least when I read it) was what you claimed as your last time at the track, and it was the same numbers you kept claiming your car ran (I believe it was 14.1@99mph). The thing is, you had done your valvetrain AFTER that run, but STILL told people that's all the faster your car is. Now, I know what the argument to my point is......"well, that is ACTUALLY what the car ran, that's no lie." Yeah, that's true....but to modify your car after getting those numbers, then USE THOSE NUMBERS to talk about how fast your car is, is downright shady and in my eyes just as good as lying.

I appreciate the concern, I guess I'm just not that afraid of it. 99% of the people in this world are completely full of shit, so they don't scare me. Also, people think just because I'm small I can't take care of myself....yet nobody on here knows anything about me. I could be some MMA expert that could rip a man twice my size to shreds....and nobody would ever know I'm capable of it. I'm a grown man and know what situations I'm getting myself into, and I'm content with the possible consequences. Ultimately, I don't want to make enemies.....but I won't stand for watching people treat others in a certain way.

As far as what I "should" have said to Brandon, you and I just have different opinions. I do personally think Stone was/is talking too much about his car, when he doesn't have it and doesn't race it on a normal basis. HOWEVER....when I saw the responses from everyone else, that were just far more ridiculous than what he was saying....I just didn't give a damn about what he was saying. I actually don't recall seeing him LIE, just saying a bunch of stuff to get people riled up.

But what it boils down to, is I just don't have a fear of what will physically happen to me. Wounds will heal, but the reprocussions of what happens when you assult someone is typically way worse than the physical injuries the "victim" suffers. Hell, in some cases....if you find yourself at the point that you want to shove your first through someone's face over an internet argument, it might take GETTING TO THAT POINT to take a step back and really see what you are doing to yourself, and try to figure out why and how you got there.

I think I have a pretty good awareness in my life, that I know when something is just a heated argument, and when the situation is actually serious or dire, and I really need to "do something" about it. I often times think that a lot of people don't view it that way, and I don't feel it's my responsibility to walk on eggshells because they refuse to face the realities of their ignorance.

A tko 600 will be good, but since that engine likes high rpm, you'll likely have to get the trans face plated so it will shift with high rpms.

Had this box in a 93 454SS pickup (my dads - those trucks only came auto) ... it's good stuff. I find it odd that your tranny can't hold up Brandon (still 2nd gear??) --- the rear-end seems to be more of an issue for a car of your caliber based on Carey's setup. You may make a tad bit more power than him though - but he daily drives his as well. ;)

I guess my point is this --- Carey DDs his 9 sec s2k. If you are breaking shit trying to get a shop driver(?) to go 10s/9s detune the car and get some seat time in and then progressively turn it up. Carey and Steve have become masters at the tranny or rear-end swap both off the trailer and on the track. Stop feeding Inline for shit that you can do on your own I guess is what I am trying to say. Carey was making teens of passes w/out cooking 2nd gear - I think he's only popped it twice but the r200 has went 3 or 4 times.

Yeah. I make more power and tq than carey. And I can't figure out why he blows up rear ends. I just chalked it up to he can't drive. The rear is by no means a problem. They are the only ppl I know that blow up r200 rears. My car or inline's car blow up rears. It's 3rd gear that keeps breaking in my car. It won't be an issue much longer.

Are you still running a standard s2000 trans? Looked like it when I saw it. I heard it was breaking straight cut gears and all kinds of other shit but it was still somewhat related to a stock s2000 trans (ie you aren't running a th400 etc)

you could prob man up to a th400 but there's goes any hope of driving it on the street if you want to run 9s or faster and at that point you'll start ripping the car apart when you launch from body twist/roll

Spoolin has the same problem. He makes 850whp but can't use it cause he can't keep 3rd gear in his car it always blows up so he keeps it at 550-600 and runs 10s till he buys a $10000 transmission that WILL hold.

S2000 is the absolute worst car to make go fast I'm sure you know that by now too many weak points.

R200 rear should hold duy was making 900whp in his s14 2jz th400 running 8s

well i have spent about $22k in transmissions. i did the 8k ppg straight cut gears,,didnt work. then i did the dog box that was 10k, it was a no go. then some upgraded components to the dog bod. still breaking. hopefully this new venture will work out and i can run some REAL good times.

i did play with the idea of mounting a t56 to it, but i think auto and bracing the body is where i wanna go

I think the s2k revs way more than the 300z. I can see 2nd 3rd and 4th gear keeping you out of your intended powerband with that gearbox.
