Pray, Think, Drink, Smoke, Coke, Talk about it, blog about it?

Snap ya fingers? lol

I pray, I personally ask God for key things like Guidance Wisdom and Strength, not winning money. If there's if theres ONE thing i've learned from simply being an observant, open-minded person living life in this world: I've learned that NOTHING in this world is guaranteed (Financial situation, Social situation etc.)so if all of my faith lies in the world (Job, Friends, Government etc.etc.) I'd have a foundation that's variable and subject to change.

I also consult with the Bible it has verses in there that apply to all of the dilemmas we can possibly think of. These two things have gotten me a Loooooooong way and I'm very thankful for having that as my foundation.

ie:
It's crazy when you learn about something that you didn't know of, it could be something shady or some corrupt scheme or whatever and you just shake your head or say "Damn that's messed up."

Then you see a verse in the bible that states:
Ecc 1:18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow

So what do you do?

Once Again, This thread is about YOU!! If you have something to say about what someone does please take it to PMs, ask them DIRECTLY

Nothing, because life is like an AC electrical current. It is full of ups and downs, its just where your centerline is that matters to whether you are having a greater amount off good or bad experiences. Praying won't make things any better, but it may give you the positive outlook you need to get through it then it serves the same means. Staying positive even when bad things happen is always for the best, I try to find something funny even out of the worst situations. It doesn't fix the problem, just takes the edge off a little.

I just strive to make things better and hope that I succeed in that. Only we can control what happens in our lives by the decisions we make and the actions we take. No one or nothing else can do it for us. Later, QD.

I keep in mind that God doesnt put anthing on us that we can't handle. I try to keep in prayer mode.

Its amazing how an uber vague book describing common morals can be applied to any situation?

Lol.

It's so clear how arguments can start in here. People feel the need to tell people about what they do and what the next man does. This thread is about (What YOU do)

You guys keep the faith strong. Those who do not believe simply do not know.

ie: Hating on an Evo because they never drove one. lol (Sometime you gotta put it in lamens term for people)

X2, I try to stay out of this section for that very reason. I always just try to keep my head up and be positive. When i fear for my safety or the well being of my family I turn to prayer. I dont pray as often as I should but I know the power of doing so...

Prayer was all that got me through my last trip to Iraq. Between problems at home, losing friends to war and the fact that I never knew if the next minute of my life would be the last one, it was a VERY hard time in my life.

This guy has never been to a psych ward where a 50 year old in a diaper is beating his head against the wall w/ a football helmet on. God DEF didn't give this guy more than he could bear. Or a children's hospital - or many other places. Keep living your perfect little life and thinking this way though.

I got me through Iraq. Me, some big guns, a little luck, and some friends w/ big guns that had my back. Many of my friends prayed and didn't make it home.

When I am tested - I dig deep from within MYSELF. I self-motivate. Hell, I may even talk to people that have been through it - but I def do not pray --- being the grandson of a preacher and having prayed and being shown/taught how to speak to "God" has been wasted time/effort - time that I could have used actually THINKING about the situations life has thrown at me and doing something to get MYSELF out of them rather than taking 10 minutes idle on my knees trying to psych my own mind.

When I'm pushed - I push back - and I do it w/out needing prayer. But whatever others need to get through this life is fine with me - if that's prayer then good luck w/ that - you'll need it. ;) Prayer is funny though - for it to be so powerful you always need to DO something afterwards to help yourself outta your mess - LOL. How about just do that something 1st next time... you save yourself some time. Good luck.

We're all a product of our environment/experiences - THAT'S FOR SURE!!!!

In efforts to avoid meaningless arguments I'm not going to put my response to the beleifs of others in here.

Thanks to everyone who actually answered the question, that's all this thread was about really.
