hey guys I want to get some tires removed from my old wheels and mounted/balanced on the new ones.

Sticky weights not the "smack on" weights

cheapest I ever seem to find is $60 for 4 + tax (including taking them off old wheels)

anyone know of a reliable good place that charges less

There isn't much of a variation between tire stores and prices making it worthwhile to drive around for a $5 difference. Later, QD.

You'll spend more in gas to save a few bucks. You could try to pop the tires off yourself...but that's not that wise.

Continue to go to the same shop and they should eventually cut ya a small deal every once in awhile.

Guess so. There's a good shop in Rome but don't live there anymore. I just go to Tires Plus as I know the techs and the manager there.

This is the most important thing to consider. They will probably end up taking a bit more caution with your stuff because they know you.

A lot of shops won't mount tires that are used on a rim for you tho, so keep that in mind!

I've never had a problem with that. Later, QD.

Some shops i've seen charge by the size. Discount tire wanted to charge me $35 (can't remember the exact amount, using sticky weights) a tire b/c it was a 17" and my wheels were chrome. At the time the pricing seemed excessive and decided to take them elsewhere after calling around.

there is a place off buford hwy, on the right side if your going North.. right after the rail road tracks coming from 285. Its a fairly new place.. i know there are a billion auto places on that side.. Just look for the new white concrete, and the bright signs. they charged me 30$ to mount/balance 2 of my old 18s.

$60 for removal and mounting is an awesome price. I pay $60 just to mount and that's a good price. They usually charge an extra $8 to remove.
