I usually don't post these kinds of things but I'm going to because I know how serious it is.

Today, I got some bad news from a friend. I received a call about 4pm today from a friend telling me that one of my long-time friends had been air lifted to Emory. My instincts told me that he was involved in a car wreck but to my surprise I couldn't have been any more wrong. One of my best friends was rushed to Emory because he has an aneurysm on his brain. Immediately, I knew the severity of this because my great uncle died from one of these things. I'm not sure if it has ruptured or all of the details but he is in a drug induced coma in ICU at Emory.

Please keep my buddy Jermile and everyone that has met him in your thoughts. He is one of the coolest people I've ever met and I've known him since Kindergarten. Definitely a hard thing to hear happen to such a good person.

Thanks,

Justin

How old is he?

25. I've went to school with him since Kindergarten. I just talked to him yesterday. He's always been very active, popular, and healthy. This was unforeseen.

Well wishes

(I was on a bike and hit head on by a drunk driver back in may, went under the truck and was initially given 4 hours to live). I am 100% recovered.)

Update:

Today I was able to go down to Emory to see my friend for the first time. I had been in contact with his mother previously getting updates on his status.

It was best to let him get much needed rest, and allow his body to heal instead of going down there the instant I got the news (the nurses/dr's didn't want his blood pressure to become elevated due to friends and visitors coming to see him). Currently, he is still in a drug induced coma but things are looking up for him.

His mother said that he gave her a thumbs up whenever she was talking to him earlier today, and he even opened one of his eyes to glance at her just for a split second. Whenever he is asked to wiggles his toes or squeeze their hand, he is able to do so.

After much testing the dr's have shown that there was no aneurysm and that he hasn't had a stroke. His brain is still slightly draining blood but it appears to be slowing down and clearing up.

The next step is to do a tracheotomy and decrease his meds that are keeping him sedated (in a coma) in hopes of him waking up and to start breathing on his own.

Things seems to be looking up for him but please continue to keep Jermile in your prayers.

Precciate It,

Justin.
