Had and extra set of taillights so decided to have some fun and smoke out the others to see how it would look. :D

I hate smoked tail lights...but on this car, i guess b/c the lights go all the way across, it fits well.

Smoked looks better but it is endangering other drives as well as yourself. Try to get some custom LED tail lights made.

Also, smoke out your reverse lights.

Thanks for the responses. I think the smoked is definitely going to be a better look. Had my Dad test out the brake lights and blinkers to make sure they are still visible and everything checks out good.

Other thing I am debating is to smoke the corners next to my headlights.

My blinkers are already in the bumper behind the custom mini grills I made. These are just parking lights so they do nothing special.

I say no, it will make the edges between the main assembly and the corners more apparent. I think they look better now because they are clear and blend as one oval shaped unit. The side markers however, could use a tint job to remedy some of that orange.

The tint on the back by the way, is a great idea. Also try out LED tail lights, instant on, and quite bright.

yah i went a little overboard and blacked them out. it just looked better when i saw it without the lights and just the black hole where they used to be. ill try to stay legal with the tint job. :D

I need to get a set of spares for the front just in case. Have a spare for the rear. Wrecked a 97 J30 and stripped it down as much as I could before giving it to the junkyard. They were going to give $50 regardless if whole car or stripped so I cleaned it out. They pretty much got a shell on wheels when I got done with it.

was remembering what some people said about them being too smoked and people not being able to see them in the rain. i had a friend behind me down 285 and 85 through the rain and he can see them fine. also didnt see why my lights being visible would matter when half the people on the damn road dont even turn on their lights in the rain itself.
