thats news to me, I've used the same one on b16's and gsr heads....But the B17 and OBD0 may be different, I doubt it though. Just cross the part #'s if your not sure, honda and acura should have them in stock. You could just take the old one with you.....

b16a3 came in the 99 si civics, on worldpac parts catalogue, they call it a "spool valve strainer w/ gasket" (or something similar) because it has a metal strainer in the oil feed. there is another spool valve gasket that goes between two parts of the solenoid, not the solenoid to head. i have replaced a few of these lately on an obd1 b18c and a 99 b16a3. i have to agree with punkr6, they looked exactly the same to me.
the cam plugs that i replaced at the same time though, looked different, but im sure they'd interchange.
the big one goes between the cylinder head and the solenoid itself.

Im pretty sure that they are all the same but just get the year off the head and we can kinda figure out what the head is off of... On the front of the head right above the exhaust manifold there will be a few little circle looking things with numbers in them. like 93 (1993), 98 (1998) .....That will help...

jdm b16a is the nsx one, and the usdm one is just whatever the dealership gives you. i've had to change one of each lol. you can realistically make either work for either application i think. one is just a liiiitttle bit larger than the other and one has rounded vs kinda squared edges. i know after doing some research on honda-tech i found the actual honda part # for each application though, do some more research if you're not 100% confident.

even the gasket from a zc single cam will fit on it.. i got a b16 head pr3 and i got the gasket from a 2000 si and it fit. gsr and b16 are the same

okay so i looked at the cirles on the head the first one is 95 second says 5 and third is 80 followed by pr3-3. judging by the 95 i guess it is a 1995 which would make it obd1. vorrect? if it is then i should be able to use an easier to find one like the b16a2 one from the 99-00 em1's.

i would asume that also but there are quite a bit of threads in ht where folks but them and bont fit. in most cases it is bc of it being obd0. since the head i a 1995 judging by the stamps on it that would make it obd1 which in my guess would mean that i could use any b series. i just want someone to back up my theory before i go and buy it. does anybody know a good website where i could order it off of?

yea that would make it a 95... I would get one for a 95 GSR ... Bet it will work... take yours off and take it with you just to be sure... But even though its a 95 B16 (obd1) head I would be almost poitive a 95 GSR one would work.
