I was looking into possibly purchasing a MKIV GLI or GTI. I know there are sites that list maintenance problems for a variety of cars, but I'm the fail at searching.
I was hoping that maybe a couple of Vdub people could chime in and help me out?
And what's this about Vdubs chugging oil?

Pcv system is full of plastic/rubber that likes to leak(replace everything if it comes apart)
turbos need regular oil changes w/syn(oil consumption)
cam tensioners can gunk up w/o oil changes or use of conventional
maf's hate oiled gauze filter (k&N, ect)
coil packs like to die, but there is a new recall for this

Scariest one is the turbo needing regular synthetic oil changes. Most owners fail at this part leading to seriously premature turbo failure.
